Ahlul Bayt News Agency, Speaking at a press conference today, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Yadollah Shirmardi added that on Friday Tehran will host the most glorious Eid prayers in the Islamic world.
He noted that the prayers will be held at the University of Tehran Campus and in the adjacent streets as well as in mosques in 2000 neighborhoods of the city.
Mr. Shirmardi regarded the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers as demonstration of Islam’s glory and said the prayers show the unity of the faithful and their allegiance with the Valiy-e Faqih of the time.
He said an Eid-ul-Fitr prayers committee was set up two months earlier to provide all the needed services for the worshippers.
Eid-ul-Fitr which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the beginning of the month of Shawwal is expected to fall on Friday, September 10.
